Performing Art Students Need Your Vote

Dear parents and families of Mona Shores Arts students,

After last weekend’s Sound Of Shores performance, it’s clear to us that our student musicians are absolutely amazing performers, and our fine arts faculty and staff are dedicated to providing excellent music education and quality performance opportunities for our students.

Our students and educators deserve all of the support that we can give them as parents and as a community.  We want to do all that we can to update our facilities and make them usable and comfortable spaces for class time, practices, and performances.  We want our young people to be excited to participate in our fine arts programs, and we know that our space can contribute to that goal.

Whether it’s band, choir, orchestra, or any of the other groups that share these spaces, it’s our obligation as parents, relatives, or members of the Norton Shores community to show our support on May 6, 2025 and vote “yes” to pass the bond renewal (a 0 mil increase).  Our support will provide funds to move forward with plans to upgrade fine arts facilities at the middle school and high school, both of which are very much needed.

Please read the information that you’ve received from our Superintendent Bill O’Brien and visit the website at https://www.monashores.net/page/may-2025

Please make a plan to vote and support this bond renewal.  Please encourage your family and friends who live in the district to be informed and vote.  Join us in supporting the high quality arts education programming that we have now and want to continue to offer in the future.

Thanks for your support of arts education at Mona Shores!

Sincerely,

Mary Ivanov, President, Mona Shores Orchestra Parent Association

Trent Klairter, President, Mona Shores Choir Association

Aaron Saunders, President, Mona Shores Band Parent Association
