A Note from the MSOPA

Dear Mona Shores Orchestra Families,

Welcome back to a new school year!  I know that our students have been practicing, taking lessons, going to music camps, and more this summer.  And I know that our amazing directors, Mrs. DeRose and Mr. Mosley, have been planning and preparing for a new year.

• First, I want to thank you for your support of your student musician.  It matters a lot!  All parents of orchestra students are members of Mona Shores Orchestra Parents Association (MSOPA), and it’s great to be connected through a wonderful music program!
• Second, I want to invite you to an Ice Cream Social this Monday, August 28, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. outside the High School orchestra room (or inside if the weather doesn’t cooperate).  MSOPA Executive Board members will be present and want to connect with you.
• Third, please take time to complete a short volunteer information form for the 2023-2024 school year.  Your help is needed to make our orchestra program successful, and there are many ways to serve.  Find the link here: MSOPA Volunteer Interest Form.

Finally, here are MSOPA meeting dates for 2023-2024.  All parents are welcome to join us, and we’re especially hopeful to add some middle school parents to our group.
